I can breath again!!

Wow this has been a crazy month! When you work in TV you work REALLY hard leading up to your first week of shooting. I felt like I was working around the clock and since my room is right down the hall from my office I was almost literally working around the clock. And with blackberrys you just cannot escape work.

So 2 INSANE weeks later I have put on a few pounds. I guess that's to be expected. Last week I didn't work out much at all. And with stress and bad food around I ate more than I should have. This week was much better. I made myself some new guidelines to follow, which I will share later, and my hours have gotten considerably less. Hopefully it's smooth sailing for the next 4 months.

I took my first trip to a Mexican Walmart the other day. It was an adventure. Something I noticed when I first got there was the yogurt aisle. It was huge!! Literally a whole entire aisle, on both sides, FILLED with yogurt. There were lots of different kinds and it was hard to pick out what I wanted. I was looking for something that had no splenda or sweetener in it, something NOT made with whole milk, and something with protein. I found something that says all natural on it, it's not sweetened, but has only 5g of protein. I've been putting protein powder in it to give me some extra protein. Speaking of protein powder, I need more! I think I should try the GNC that's in the mall across from me. They only have a very limited selection of products though.

I have a microwave in my room now so I bought canned salmon, tuna, and chicken. I also got some canned vegetables to mix with it. Fresh produce still just makes me nervous here.

I'm on Stage 2 of 'New Rules of Lifting for Women'. It took me longer to get through stage 1 but so far stage 2 is enjoyable and adaptable to my limited gym. The workouts take longer and workout B includes intervals. Inaddition to these workouts I've been adding in some more cardio. I don't move enough during the day and it definitely shows in my tummy. Not good when my days off include wearing a bathing suit. Yikes!

Here are my new Mexican guidelines.

1. NO NUTS AT THE BAR (it is soooo easy to just sit there and eat tons of nuts. They are delicious!! But I know that has been a big cause of my recent weight gain)
2. TRACK ALL DRINKS - HOW MANY? (Yes I should probably cut alcohol out but there's not much to do around here. Everyone hangs out at the bar and I'm having fun. I think if I'm at least conscious of how much I'm drinking that should help)
3. WORKOUT 6 DAYS A WEEK
4. 4 FISH OIL PILLS PER DAY
5. NO SUGAR OR PROCESSED FOODS (This is tough. I'm trying my best though)
6. 8 BOTTLES OF WATER PER DAY
7. BLACK COFFEE ONLY
8. DO NOT EAT 1 THING (OTHER THAN GUM) FROM CRAFTY
9. VERY LIMITED CARBS AFTER BREAKFAST (I eat carbs after I workout and for a morning snack but after that I need to be very careful. My lunch and dinner always include tortillas and rice. No more! The hard part is eating enough to fill me up without the carbs.)
10. MOVE MORE EVERY DAY - JUST MAKE AN EFFORT, AT LEAST 1 TIME PER DAY (This is tough)
11. ONE FREE DAY PER WEEK
12. TAKE MULTI VITAMIN

So far I'm not tracking calories. It just seems impossible. But if the weight doesn't start dropping back down I might have to. I think tracking these 12 things every day will at least help me stay somewhat in check.

How is everyone?!
